Empowering Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust with custom Joomla websites and seamless managed services 

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) are the main provider of community NHS health and care across Sussex, providing essential medical, nursing and therapeutic care to adults, children and families.  

They approached us to support their digital transformation journey, outlining key objectives and requirements for our collaboration. These included a Managed Service agreement, the development of a staff intranet, and the creation of multiple websites in their digital pipeline. 

Throughout the initial phase of our partnership, we built a strong relationship with SCFT which led to a continuous stream of additional projects. This included launching new websites and enhancing existing ones with new features, furthering their digital evolution. 

When we first met with SCFT to discuss their requirements, we recognised that a phased approach with clear priorities and goals would be the most effective strategy. 

Phase 1 focused on developing a Joomla staff intranet, accessible only to SCFT employees. The intranet needed a robust Content Management System (CMS) to ensure content could be regularity. The staff Intranet was designed and built utilising the NHS design system to ensure it met the highest accessibility requirements.  

After the deployment of the staff intranet, we began working on the next phase, which involved designing and developing a number of websites within the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. These websites are all hosted on AWS architecture, which we set up and continually maintain.
