Meet Rachel
Creative Design Lead

•Years• Working at BF 5+

Rachel first started in the creative industry back in 2014 after graduating from Plymouth University with a first class (hons) degree. Since joining Blue Frontier in 2018 as a Web Designer, she’s worked her way up to her current role as Creative Design Lead.

Each day brings a new set of challenges. From branding, to web design, to front end development; the consistent thread is creativity. With a keen eye for the smallest of details, yet the ability to always see the bigger picture, Rachel approaches every project from a different angle, consistently exceeding expectations.

Rachel prides herself in her ability to ensure that no two projects are alike, creating a unique experience for each and every client. Always on the lookout for inspiration, she enjoys designing and developing websites that feel fresh, utilising the latest development technologies to create memorable online experiences that are set apart from the rest.

Blue Frontier isn’t afraid to try something new. Diversification and skill development are some of the top priorities within the company, there are endless opportunities for us to explore new avenues and build upon our existing skill sets which has helped to foster a varied, yet supportive environment.

What doesn’t it involve… My role is very varied. One day I might be designing a logo, the next I might be coding a website, and then onto writing a proposal or pitching for a new piece of work. The changing nature of my job is the very reason I enjoy it, you never know what each week will bring so it keeps things interesting.

For the last year or so I’ve been predominantly involved in creating and nurturing the new cobolt studio brand, developed to appeal directly to the creative industries. I’m looking forward to this brand building upon Blue Frontier’s success with projects that require increasingly creative solutions.

Retail therapy is very much my stress reliever of choice, or if that fails, a walk along the beach with a hot chocolate. I’m currently trying to get into yoga, and surprising myself with just how unflexible I am.
