Meet Matthew
Test Analyst
Matthew joined the test team as a junior test analyst in 2017 and has since progressed to test analyst. Matthew is skilled in many areas of IT, but his drive to achieve and sustain quality across the projects we work on makes him the perfect fit for the test team.
Matthew’s experience encompasses both manual and automated testing, using tools such as Sahi Pro & Apache JMeter. Through thorough testing, Matthew is able to embrace his passion for quality control and fulfil client requirements.
Putting himself in the position of the user, Matthew can identify defects and UX issues that could deter people from using websites, applications and software. This helps to refine the final product and its features, to the benefit of the user and the client.
I enjoy the number of different avenues that we pursue as a company, and I appreciate Blue Frontier’s willingness to engage with its staff.
I create and execute tests to verify whether an end product meets the requirements specified for a project. This can also involve both manual and automated testing. Our approach to testing is focused on the user, so we test software and applications on a variety of devices to see how they perform and whether they are user-friendly.
My work tends to be very varied and involves testing a variety of websites, applications and software for an array of clients. I find working on applications for mobile devices and database-driven websites to be particularly interesting as I am able to use my technical and creative problem-solving skills to create specially tailored test plans.
Outside of work, I am an avid PC gamer, I play Dungeons and Dragons over the internet, I enjoy being more physically active, and like the occasional game of chess.
