Meet Jack
Software Business Analyst
Jack joined the Blue Frontier team in 2018 as a software business analyst after a period of freelance consultancy, offering project management, software development, and connected diagnostics expertise to businesses. Jack works closely with the Blue Frontier directors, liaising with clients and attending conferences across the world.
Jack is an experienced software engineer specialising in Ruby applications, with a depth of front-end JavaScript knowledge. Using these skills, Jack plays a fundamental role in managing software projects at Blue Frontier to ensure they run smoothly and clients get the best end result.
Jack is closely involved with our connected health projects, using his knowledge of healthcare and how technological advancements can improve the management of health and illness. He has acted as project lead and architect of the open-source platform Open Interop in collaboration with Find, helping to innovate the diagnosis and treatment of diseases afflicting the global population.
Some of my favourite parts of working at Blue Frontier include the happy and accepting working environment, the brilliant people who work here, and that the company is always open to new ideas and developing new services.
My main duties as a software business analyst involve managing developers, interacting with clients on major projects, solutions architecture and writing code, attending conferences, and international travel.
My dream project would be to work with Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality technology to revolutionise the user experience of a product or programme.
Outside of work, I enjoy fishing, photography, travelling, sword fighting, writing, and making doughnuts.
