Meet Debbie
Test Analyst
Debbie joined the company in 2021 as a Test Analyst with 10 years of testing experience. Before becoming a Tester, she worked on various projects. Her roles varied from Technical Assistant to Senior Software Engineer. Before joining the company, she had gained the ISTQB Certified Tester qualification. Debbie recently gained her CPACC qualification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.
Debbie’s role mainly involves writing user stories and tests for websites and apps. She conducts functional, compatibility, accessibility, and regression tests. This helps find and report defects. As an accessibility expert, Debbie conducts specific tests on websites and apps. This is to ensure they meet global accessibility standards, for example, WCAG.
Debbie’s past as a developer helps her provide the right information. It allows the design or development team to fix any defects more easily. She has a very analytical mindset and is always keen to learn, allowing her to test in a variety of ways.
My favourite part of working at Blue Frontier is my diverse colleagues and their strong bond. Plus, our clients are from various industries, which bring different projects and opportunities.
My job is to test web products. I ensure they meet requirements and fix design flaws, particularly for accessibility. I do this primarily by checking their function on different platforms. This ensures a smooth experience for all users.
My dream project would be anything to do with history, nature, or disabilities. Especially anything that would challenge me and grow my skills.
Outside of work, I like researching my family history. I love exploring the great outdoors. I enjoy walking the many footpaths throughout the countryside. Particularly experiencing the natural beauty around us.
