Senior Software Developer
Looking for new opportunities to develop his skills, Dan joined Blue Frontier at the start of 2022 as a senior software developer. With over ten years of experience as a full stack developer in the real estate and agricultural industries, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and technical know-how to our team, in addition to his expert proficiency in C#, .NET and various JavaScript-based languages.
As a senior software developer, Dan is involved throughout the lifecycle of a wide variety of projects. From discovery, design and estimation, to development, testing and deployment, Dan is dedicated to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that meet (and exceed) our clients’ expectations.
With his extensive knowledge in software and development technologies, Dan is also a natural mentor, assisting other members of the team with the support, maintenance, and enhancement of numerous modern and legacy client applications.
Some of my favourite things about Blue Frontier are the wide variety of projects I get to work on, and the opportunity to use the latest technologies to deliver solutions that meet, if not exceed, customer expectations. As a Senior Software Developer my role involves working alongside clients to develop bespoke mobile and web applications to suit their needs. Most of my time is spent building frontend applications in JavaScript and coding the backend infrastructure using C#.
My dream project would be to utilise machine learning within the field of hydroponics to boost crop yields, reduce complexity and increase global adoption.
Outside of work, I enjoy going for walks (especially if there’s a good pub along the way), watching films, socialising with friends and family, working in the garden, and learning about new technologies.
