Meet Ben
Software Developer
Ben joined the web development team at Blue Frontier in 2020, following the successful completion of his Computer Science BSc from the University of Southampton and a placement year at ITDev and Nxtera.
Ben is a driven individual focused on accuracy and efficiency. Since joining Blue Frontier, Ben has proved himself to be a valuable asset to the company. With the industry knowledge and skills that he gained during his internship, he excels in Python, JavaScript and Haskell.
Ben is a fast learner and is enthusiastic about trying out new software, with a real passion for resolving challenging technical issues and maintaining software and systems with security and efficiency in mind at all times.
There are so many reasons why I enjoy working at Blue Frontier, but just to mention a few, I love the beautiful office space right in the heart of Southampton and the great team spirit, with plenty of people to inspire me and learn from.
I work with clients to develop solutions to meet their mobile app, web app and website requirements. I also work with the connected health team to link data nodes to create a collaboration between labs and hospitals across the globe.
My dream project would be to collaborate with a self-driving car manufacturer and work with them as a machine learning engineer, focusing on self-learning algorithms to allow the vehicle to safely operate autonomously.
Outside of work, I like to play football for a local Saturday team and enjoy learning to play snooker. I am also a sucker for trying new cuisines and won’t say no to a good quiz.
