Meet Alastair
Developer

•Years• Working at BF 2+

Alastair previously worked as an in-house developer at a not-for-profit organisation. After making the jump to agency life at another digital and web agency, Alastair joined the Blue Frontier team as a developer.

Using a variety of languages including PHP, MySQL, CSS and JavaScript, Alastair builds and maintains a variety of web projects for our clients. From scoping project requirements, to keeping websites up to date and secure, Alastair is involved in all parts of the web project and maintenance lifecycle.

Alastair is an inquisitive problem-solver who loves a challenge. He loves to learn new things and is quick to find solutions, making him a very useful member of our development team. His calm approach under pressure makes him a valued member of any project team.

Blue Frontier is a great place to work because of the variety of projects I get to work on and the lovely team have a great level of experience in a huge range of subject areas as well!

What does your Blue Frontier role involve?

Focusing predominantly on development in WordPress, I support clients with their existing websites, creating bespoke functionality and improving the user experience. I also work on new projects, identifying key requirements and building custom solutions to meet the client’s needs.

I’d love to build things for Lego! I think you could have a lot of fun making their apps and website feel as great as their products.

I love going for walks with my dog (who often joins me in the office), but now that I have children, it must be spending time with, and tidying up after them, right?
