Ashley joined the Blue Frontier team in 2021 as a software developer. He previously worked at two major law firms in Bristol and Oxford before taking on a more web development centred role. He is a strong asset to the company with his in-depth knowledge of universal programming languages.
As a software developer, his role and responsibilities consist of mainly developing and maintaining our Alere DataPoint™ platform. He could be adding new features, improving existing functionality, or ensuring the quality of our code is kept to a high standard.
Ashley regularly liaises with our testers to discuss our current workload and keep on top of any issues if they arise. Thanks to his broad experience of programming languages, he also tends to assist junior members of our development team, a true team player.
What are your favourite things about Blue Frontier?
My favourite thing about Blue Frontier are the opportunities for career progression and to further my learning. Apart from the actual work, the office is a really nice working environment, everyone is so friendly and there’s free food on Fridays and did I mention they have a pool table?
What does your Blue Frontier role involve?
My role at Blue Frontier mainly involves me writing code to improve our software. Each day can be a new challenge and I could be writing code in several different languages in order to complete a task.
What would your dream project be?
My dream project would be to work on something related to football or fitness. I would also like to work on a project which helps people in their daily lives and can make an impact on the world.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I love playing football & going to the gym. I’m a massive music fan so I go to a lot of festivals and gigs. I also like going out to eat at restaurants and cooking food (mainly Italian!).
